    We are actively seeking an experienced Associate Director, US Medical Training who will take the lead in developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for our Medical Affairs team and other cross-functional stakeholders. You will ensure our teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively communicate scientific data and product information.

     

    This role is crucial to ensuring our teams maintain high standards of medical education and compliance within the rapidly evolving landscape of the pharmaceutical industry.

    Position Summary

    The Associate Director, US Medical Training will develop and deliver training programs that not only educate our staff but also enhance the overall effectiveness of our Medical Affairs function. You will work closely with the Medical Affairs team, marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on product messaging and training consistency across all platforms.

     

    This role will report to the Director, US Training. The expectation is in-office three days a week at Ascendis’s Princeton, NJ location to collaborate with team members and colleagues.

    Responsibilities:

    + Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy for the US Medical Affairs team to enhance scientific knowledge and effective communications.

    + Create educational materials and resources that support ongoing education and competency in the therapeutic areas of focus.

    + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure training programs align with overall brand strategy and objectives.

    + Facilitate engaging training sessions, workshops, and seminars that promote learning and retention of scientific information.

    + Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and metrics to continually improve training approaches.

    + Stay current on advanced therapeutic areas, competitor activities, and industry trends to inform training content and strategies.

    + Ensure compliance with all regulations and internal policies related to training and education.

    Requirements

    + A minimum of 8 years of experience in medical training or related areas within the pharmaceutical industry

    + Proven ability to develop and facilitate training programs in a medical or scientific context

    + Strong knowledge of pharmacology, clinical research, and the drug development process

    + Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field; advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) preferred

    + Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex scientific concepts

    + Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives

    + Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

    + Familiarity with regulations governing medical education and promotional practices in the pharmaceutical industry

     

    Salary range: $180-200k/year DOE
