Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) is seeking a dynamic RN Stroke Program Manager to coordinate our comprehensive Stroke Program at one or more dedicated hospitals. This pivotal role ensures a seamless, interdisciplinary approach to stroke management across the entire care continuum, delivering quality patient care and optimizing clinical outcomes guided by national and evidence-based standards.

EVERY DAY, YOU WILL:
+ **Program Coordination & Leadership:** Coordinate and manage the VMFH Stroke Program, ensuring a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to stroke management from prevention to rehabilitation.
+ **Team Development & Training:** Develop, train, and lead one or more interdisciplinary teams, empowering them to provide rapid and effective treatment during the acute stages of stroke.
+ **Quality & Outcomes Management:** Drive continuous quality improvement, monitoring clinical outcomes against national and evidence-based standards of stroke care.
+ **Professional Education:** Provide expert education to healthcare professionals across VMFH on the latest advancements in stroke care, promoting best practices and skill development.
+ **Community Outreach & Awareness:** Lead community awareness initiatives to:
1. Raise stroke awareness among the public.
2. Promote critical understanding of stroke risk factors and the urgency required for symptom assessment and treatment.
3. Educate on stroke prevention strategies and the advanced treatment options available through VMFH.
+ **Certification & Innovation (May Include):** Oversee the process of obtaining and maintaining certification as a stroke center through recognized agencies specific to assigned work sites. This includes integrating the full range of current innovations and knowledge in stroke prevention, assessment, early identification, treatment strategies, rehabilitation, secondary stroke prevention, and community education.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL DEMONSTRATE:
+ **Clinical Stroke Expertise:** Professional nursing knowledge and extensive experience sufficient to provide clinical expertise and support for acute stroke management.
+ **Advanced Clinical Understanding:** A complex level of knowledge of patient care standards and practices that incorporate current stroke nursing standards, regulatory requirements, best practices, outcomes research, and advances in technology.
+ **Leadership & Team Building:** Proven ability to develop, train, and lead interdisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
+ **Program Management:** Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate a comprehensive program across multiple facets of care.
+ **Communication & Education:** Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively educate both healthcare professionals and community groups.
+ **Quality Improvement Focus:** A commitment to continuous quality improvement and the use of data to drive optimal clinical outcomes.
+ **Regulatory & Standards Knowledge:** Familiarity with national stroke care standards (e.g., American Heart Association/American Stroke Association) and regulatory requirements for stroke center certification.
Job Requirements
+ Associate's degree in Nursing and five years of related clinical work experience including two years nursing experience in ICU/Emergency Department setting and/or management of stroke patients that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities.
+ Active Washington State Registered Nurse License
+ Basic Life Support - CPR
+ Certified Stroke Registered Nurse, within 12 - months
Preferred:
+ Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field.

Pay Range
$54.76 - $81.45 /hour
