    Job Title: Test Technician** **Job Description

     

    Perform routine and special tests on transformers, power metering products, power distribution units, and other integrated systems to ensure products meet specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing or design issues in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform routine and special tests on transformers, power metering products, power distribution units, and other integrated systems to ensure products meet specifications.

    + Assist in the assembly of products to specifications by understanding and following electrical schematics, part drawings, and bills of material.

    + Interpret standard documentation and apply to custom applications.

    + Assemble mechanical components, including fitting and aligning.

    + Recommend improvements in products, process, and practices.

    + Work in a safe manner in accordance with Health and Safety procedures.

    + Adhere to all ISO 9001 policies and procedures.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong applied knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits.

    + Experience in troubleshooting and electrical testing.

    + Familiarity with electrical schematics and test equipment.

    + Knowledge of electronics and high voltage systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical diploma from a Community College or equivalent. C.E.T. certification is an asset.

    + Alternatively, licensed industrial electrician.

    + Minimum of 3 years applicable work experience.

    + Familiar with computers and applications such as MS Office and databases.

    + Ability to assemble mechanical parts using assembly drawings and bills of material.

    + Knowledgeable in the use of power meters and hi pot testers.

    + Familiar with hand tools, soldering irons, and portable power tools.

    + Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.

    + Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.

    Work Environment

    The role is based on the shop floor, with activities that may require sitting, standing, or kneeling, and the freedom to move as needed. Overtime may be required depending on order volume. Regular use of computers is necessary.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Duluth, GA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $54080.00/yr.
