THE POSITION
Are you a dynamic leader with a strong grasp of economic growth and development, coupled with a dedication to exceptional service delivery? The Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a qualified individual for a pivotal leadership position. In this role, you will drive initiatives to improve and standardize permitting processes through data analysis, technological integration, and collaboration with various central office bureaus, regional offices, Commonwealth agencies, and external stakeholders. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this pivotal position, you will manage the Streamlining Permits for Economic Expansion and Development (SPEED) office,, as well as the major projects permitting division. Your responsibilities will encompass setting objectives, formulating regulations, policies, and standards. A key aspect of this role involves reviewing legislation to assess its impact on existing policies and programs related to permitting, ensuring alignment with federal and state environmental laws and regulations. Additionally, this position entails a comprehensive range of supervisory responsibilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Nine years of professional experience coordinating environmental protection programs that includes four years of supervisory experience, and a bachelor’s degree;or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes four years of professional supervisory experience coordinating environmental protection programs.
Additional Requirements:
+ You must possess a valid driver's license.
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.
