Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a highly respected facility in Boston, MA , currently seeking two experienced LPNs to assist on a full-time basis.
Position Details
+ Location: Boston, MA
+ Duration: 13 weeks to start, with likelihood of extension
+ Facility Type: Correctional Facility
+ Schedule:
+ Opening 1: Mon–Fri and every other weekend, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
+ Opening 2: Mon–Fri and every other weekend, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
+ Pay:
+ Local: $48/hr
+ Travel: $2,150 gross/week
Position Description
+ General nursing duties including medication administration, triage, and risk assessment
+ Assist physicians with medical treatments
+ Administer prescribed medications
+ Apply surgical dressings and bandages
+ Provide emergency first aid care
+ Check and record vital signs
+ Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing
+ Report reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in emotional or physical condition
+ Provide patient education and discharge planning
+ Accurately document all care information in a timely manner
+ Promote a therapeutic environment and ensure professional, ethical treatment of inmates
+ Perform other position-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
+ Current LPN license in the state of practice
+ Minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric or correctional healthcare required
+ Current CPR certification
+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
