    The Nurse Practitioner provides health care services topatients within scope of license, performs physical examinations and diagnostictests, assessments and screenings, prescribes medications, and instructspatients and family members on medical conditions and treatment. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner may havean area of specialty practice.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Current Nurse Practitioner Certification and license in thestate of New Jersey

    + Current and unrestricted DEA in New Jersey required

    + Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationallyaccredited nursing organization (e.g. American Academy of Nurse Practitioners –AANP, American Nurses Credentialing Center – ANCC) is required

    + Must be a Family or Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner

    + Minimum 1 year of experience as an NP highly preferred; must be in primary care setting

    + Maintain collaboration agreements, per state requirements

    + Current BLS required

    + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

    + Annual flu vaccine required

    + Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
