Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional Facility | Boston, MA
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a highly reputable correctional facility in Boston, MA, and we are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time assignment. This is a great opportunity to step into a meaningful role supporting a unique patient population.
Position Overview
Contract Length: 13 weeks to start, with strong potential to extend
Facility Type: Correctional Facility
Schedule: Monday–Friday + every other weekend, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Compensation:
+ Local RN: $60/hr
+ Travel RN: $2,700 weekly gross
Role Responsibilities
The RN will support daily clinical operations within the facility, including but not limited to:
+ Deliver general nursing care, including medication administration
+ Conduct triage assessments and evaluate patient risk levels
+ Assist providers with procedures and medical treatments
+ Apply dressings and bandages as ordered
+ Provide urgent and emergency first aid when needed
+ Monitor and document vital signs
+ Collect lab specimens from patients for diagnostic testing
+ Observe and report patient reactions to medications or treatments
+ Identify and communicate changes in physical or emotional condition
+ Educate patients and assist with discharge-related needs
+ Thoroughly and accurately document all care in the appropriate formats
+ Maintain a professional, therapeutic, and respectful environment for all inmates
+ Perform additional duties as assigned based on facility needs
Qualifications
+ Active RN license in the state of practice
+ At least 1 year of correctional healthcare experience preferred
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ Adherence to all professional standards and scope of practice requirements
+ New graduates will be considered
