Summary: The primary role of the Inside Sales Representative I is to drive sales and revenue growth by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and prospecting leads. The main objective is to expand accounts and deliver exceptional customer service to all clients. As a key member of our sales and customer service teams, the Inside Sales Representative I serves as a dedicated ambassador for Martin’s. With a strong focus on customer service, a passion for our products, and a drive to boost company sales, this individual plays a vital role in all aspects of their position. They are expected to provide outstanding customer service, resolve issues effectively, and ensure a top-tier customer experience. Furthermore, the Inside Sales Representative I is encouraged to continuously improve, share valuable insights, and actively promote the company's brand. This position demands a committed individual who is willing to exceed expectations and achieve set goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Engages new customers through prospecting efforts and by fielding new inbound inquiries.
• Works and collaborates with members of cross-departmental teams to manage active, in-process business and provide exceptional, responsive customer service.
• Initiates communication with customers to include product availability, quality and price.
• Generates sales leads through cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential customers.
• Researches potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources.
• Defines qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc. and determining the best course of action to close the sale
• Creates and maintains a database of prospective customers.
• Conducts product presentations via phone or online to potential customers after analysis of customers’ needs
• Answers potential customer questions and follow-up call questions.
• Tracks and analyzes weekly, monthly and quarterly performance and sales metrics using CRM to define objectives.
• Negotiates and closes sales opportunities with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Builds targeted sales pipeline and forecasts data driven sales activities.
• Collaborates with sales team to develop and implement sales strategies.
• Provides customer set up and account maintenance support.

Education and/or Experience:
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of company’s services and its position within the industry.
• Prior experience in the food industry is preferred.
• Proven track record of strong sales and customer relationships.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
• Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Suites.
• Ability to develop sales reports through various computer applications.
• Proficiency with CRM system
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Travel-up to 20%
• Must contain valid travel documents, including Passport.
• Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a deadline driven environment. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
