Assistant Director, Student Activities

The Assistant Director of Student Activities reports to the Director of Student Activities. The Assistant Director manages the Downing Student Union which entails 280,000 square feet; co-sponsors or hosts over 600 programs or events; and provides space for 1,000 plus meetings per month. By providing innovative programs and appropriate facility support, the Assistant Director must be committed to enhance citizenship, leadership, student development and sense of community.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
+ Provide leadership and management to the Student Union's daily operation
+ Select, train, supervise and develop staff
+ Oversight of Student Union budgets, DSU maintenance, and building risk management
+ Direct liaison to Facilities
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ At least three years full-time experience in collegiate, student life programming
+ Willingness to work evenings and weekends
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $46,100 - $53,000
