What You Will Do:

Associate Mechanic Drafter/Designer will be responsible for creating drawings that exhibit the detail and method of assembly for a variety of machinery and mechanical devices. Experience in machine design drafting, weldment and assemblies is required. 0-2 years Formal Drafting Training or Equivalent.

Essential Functions:

+ Proficient in the use of SolidWorks/AutoCAD

+ Knowledge in standard drafting practices.

+ Good basic math skills.

+ Able to read measuring devices (tape measures, rulers, calipers).

+ Good phone and communication skills.

+ Prepare variations of designs.

+ Compute mechanical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components of machinery.

+ Regular attendance and able and willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime.

+ Provide regular progress updates on active projects.

+ Mechanically inclined.

+ Handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

+ Familiar with pipe fittings, electrical conduit, various hydraulic piping/fittings.

+ Experience in machine design drafting, including weldment and assemblies.

+ Familiar with machining principles and tolerancing.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

+ Listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences.

+ Communicate information and ideas, both written and verbally so others will understand.

+ Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

+ Hold a valid driver's license and able to drive an automobile.

+ Must make us aware of any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.

What You Will Bring:

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Experience in machine design drafting

+ Weldment and assemblies is required

+ 0-2 years of Formal Drafting Training or Equivalent
