    Role Overview

     

    The Neurodiagnostic Technologist is responsible for performing a full range of neurodiagnostic procedures in accordance with technical standards set by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET). This role requires maintaining and advancing clinical and technical knowledge across all diagnostic neuroscience disciplines. On-call duties will not be required independently until after six months of employment unless competency is signed off by the Neurodiagnostics Supervisor or Manager.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    + 1 year of experience in Neurodiagnostics

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) and Seizure First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire

    + **Education:**

    + Graduation from or enrollment within six months of hire in a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology (NDT) program **OR**

    + Completion of or enrollment within six months of hire in an ABRET-recognized program **OR**

    + Associate degree or higher **OR**

    + 5 years of experience

    Preferred:

    + REEGT, REPT, or CLTM certification

    + Experience in Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)

    Skills & Knowledge

    + Proficiency in EEG, LTM, EMU studies, and/or EKG

    + Strong understanding of neuroanatomy, safety protocols, and patient care best practices

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
