Description:
Effectively operate a console-type switchboard and/or provide information and assistance necessary to maintain communications of the Medical Center through telephones, paging, alarms and radio. Provides answering service for all of SJPN, SJVNA and other physician offices.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
Education: High school diploma required, with business classes preferred to provide a sense of responsibility and knowledge of general office procedures.
Experience: Experience in answering multi-line phones and customer service preferred. Basic computer knowledge desired.
Other Job Requirements:
4 to 6 weeks training required.
Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, analytical ability to gather and interpret data, greet visitors, explain hospital policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel.
Requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors, and/or hospital associates.
Assigned hours within your shift, starting time, or days of work are subject to change based on departmental and/or organizational needs.
