    Title: Filter Assembler 1 st Shift

     

    Schedule: M-F 6:00am- 2:30pm

     

    Pay Rate: $17 an hour

     

    Department: Filters

    Job Functions:

    + Assemble electronic filters based on schematics and blueprint/diagrams to work instruction specifications for level 1 stock filters.

    + Wraps copper wire around inductor cores per blueprints.

    + Solders filter parts (i.e. resistors, inductors, conductors, etc.) to appropriate filters per work diagrams. Ensures solder has no pinholes or bubbles to meet quality standards.

    + Prep work to include: papercutting, soldering bushings, soldering capacitors, cleaning capacitors.

    + **Additional Responsibilities:**

    + Strip copper coating off wires by dipping into solder.

    + Communicated defects or work problems to supervisor.

    + Test inductors for inductance, if needed makes adjustments by using oven to create desired results.

    + Assists in winding conductors or inductors as necessary.

    + Train new temporary employees.

    Other Demands:

    + Able to read up to 16th of an inch so that items fit.

    + Knowledge of soldering with soldering iron or by flame.

    + Skill in: Basic computer skills.

    + Ability to:

    + Measure with calipers, and tape measure converting fractions into decimals.

    + Use hand tools, such as, pliers, and hammers.

    + Ensure a clean workstation.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

    + Verbally communicate with team members about work processes or defects.

    + Follows safety rules and procedures.

    + Do work as assigned by supervisor.

    + Work in team environment, be quality conscious and strive for continuous quality improvement with emphasis on Lean and 5s principles.

    Physical Demands:

    + Extreme ambulatory requirements – ability to stand/sit/move with no physical limitations or aids to perform activities.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + 0–1 year experience in manufacturing environment.

    Preferred Requirements:

    + Production line experience.

    **Pay Details:** $17.00 per hour
