Description
Key Responsibilities:
+ Monitor assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts and prioritize collection efforts.
+ Contact clients or customers via phone, email, and mail to secure payment and resolve billing issues.
+ Negotiate payment plans and settlement agreements within company guidelines.
+ Research and resolve account discrepancies, collaborating with internal departments as needed.
+ Document all collection activities and maintain detailed client account notes.
+ Prepare reports and provide regular updates to management regarding collections status and delinquent accounts.
+ Recommend accounts for further action (e.g., escalation, legal proceedings) when necessary.
+ Support month-end closing processes by reporting on delinquent accounts and projected cash receipts.
+ Maintain knowledge of company policies, collection best practices, and relevant regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
+ Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related financial role.
+ Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
+ Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
