Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file corporate tax returns in compliance with current regulations.
• Manage sales tax reporting and ensure timely submissions.
• Record and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and address any discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to tax laws and accounting standards.
• Provide support during audits and address inquiries related to financial documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance.
• Solid knowledge of sales tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in recording and reviewing journal entries.
• Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data accurately.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
