Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Woburn, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to contribute immediately. The role involves hands-on accounting tasks, with a focus on ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain financial integrity.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Handle account reconciliations, including cash accounts and other financial statements.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial records.

• Utilize NetSuite to streamline and enhance accounting operations.

• Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

• Take ownership of financial processes and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.

• Provide support for high-volume transactions in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist in year-end financial preparations and audits as needed. Requirements • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, preferably in the healthcare or social assistance industry.

• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and general ledger management.

• Proficiency in handling journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Demonstrated expertise in bank reconciliations and cash account management.

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite is required.

• Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal guidance.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle high transaction volumes.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
