Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Reviewer to join our growing accounting team. This role is responsible for the comprehensive review of various tax returns, including individual, corporate, S-Corp, and C-Corp returns, as well as assisting with other entity tax filings as needed. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in tax review, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve complex tax issues.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Review individual, corporate (C-Corp), and S-Corp tax returns for accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

+ Evaluate supporting documentation, workpapers, and schedules to ensure thoroughness and completeness.

+ Research and resolve complex tax issues, applying current tax law and regulatory guidance.

+ Provide feedback to preparers and coach junior staff on best practices in tax preparation and review.

+ Assist with planning and executing tax strategies to minimize client liabilities and maximize compliance.

+ Communicate effectively with internal team members and clients, providing timely updates and explanations regarding tax positions and adjustments.

+ Collaborate with partners and managers to ensure deadlines are met and review processes are efficient.

+ Stay up to date with changes to tax laws and regulations relevant to various entity types.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.

+ Minimum 3 years of recent experience reviewing individual, corporate, S-Corp, and C-Corp tax returns.

+ Expertise in federal and state tax codes and regulations.

+ Strong analytical and organizational skills, with precise attention to detail.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

+ Proficient with leading tax preparation software and common office technology.
