Description We are looking for an experienced Direct Buyer Specialist to join our team in Chula Vista, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing procurement operations, ensuring supplier compliance, and supporting production needs. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex purchasing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate procurement activities to meet production schedules and operational needs.

• Analyze supplier performance to ensure compliance and maintain quality standards.

• Develop and execute purchase orders while adhering to company policies and financial practices.

• Conduct detailed pricing and cost analysis to support budget objectives.

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to align procurement goals with production requirements.

• Monitor and report on commodity trends to optimize purchasing strategies.

• Utilize ERP systems to streamline procurement processes and data management.

• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and delivery schedules.

• Prepare and present metric reports to evaluate procurement efficiency.

• Ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain strong supplier relationships. Requirements • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably in production environments.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in procurement processes.

• Excellent negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing and delivery terms.

• Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

• Knowledge of commodities, pricing strategies, and financial practices.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on compliance and operational efficiency.
