The University of Colorado Boulder's Behavioral Threat Assessment & Management (BTAM) team is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative Temporary Coordinator - Threat Assessment! As part of the Division of Public Safety, this role is vital to the administrative infrastructure that supports a safe, inclusive, and responsive campus environment. It ensures effective record management, timely and accurate documentation, and overall operational continuity for the team. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with exceptional analytical and communication skills, a strong commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices, and the ability to manage sensitive, complex information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
The workload for this temporary position will vary from week to week based on business needs. Some weeks may require no work, while other weeks could require up to 40 hours. The position is expected to be available for a duration of approximately 6 to 11 months.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Threat Assessment & Case Coordination
+ Prepare clear, comprehensive written reports that document case histories and behavioral indicators.
+ Serve as the primary administrative coordinator for BTAM-related meetings, ensuring accurate note-taking and timely dissemination of action items.
+ Maintain meticulous, up-to-date case records within the university's case management systems, ensuring all entries meet departmental documentation standards and legal requirements.
BTAM & Departmental Support
+ Provide administrative and operational support to the Chair of the Threat Assessment Team (TAT), the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT), and the Department of Threat Assessment (DTA).
+ Record detailed meeting minutes, manage follow-up tasks, track assigned action items, support scheduling, and assist in preparing materials for both recurring and ad-hoc meetings.
+ Support the management and monitoring of the DTA's central email account, ensuring timely triage, routing, and response to incoming communications and referrals.
Compliance, Confidentiality & Professional Standards
+ Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to all legal, ethical, and institutional requirements related to privacy, data protection, and information sharing, including FERPA, Clery Act/ASR guidelines, records of retention, and campus safety policies.
+ Ensure consistent compliance with departmental protocols, case management, and documentation standards.
+ Model professional integrity, neutrality, and discretion in all interactions and decision-making processes.
What You Should Know
Variable work hours, Monday-Friday during standard business hours. Hybrid work may be available, depending on business needs and with supervisor approval.
What We Can Offer
Starting hourly pay is $32.50/hr - $35/hr.

What We Require
+ Two or more years administrative experience.
+ Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
+ Prior work experience with case management.
What You Will Need
+ Strong working experience with Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
+ Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex and sensitive information from varied sources.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting nuanced or technical information to diverse audiences.
+ Adherence to rigorous documentation and reporting practices.
+ Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse cultures, identities, lived experiences, and backgrounds.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Demonstrated good judgment, diplomacy, tact and professionalism and the ability to handle highly-sensitive and confidential information with appropriate discretion.
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize complex tasks, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
