    Behavioral Classroom Aide

     

    Pay Range: $18–21/hr

     

    Hours: Full time and part time

     

    Pay: Weekly

     

    If you’re energized by helping students overcome challenges and build meaningful skills, this role puts you right where the impact happens. As a Behavioral Classroom Aide, you’ll work closely with special education staff to support students who benefit from behavioral, instructional, and personal-care assistance. Your presence helps create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment where every student can grow.

    What You’ll Do

    + Support behavior-focused learning by helping implement teacher-designed activities, reinforcement systems, visual supports, small-group instruction, and structured routines.

    + Observe and communicate important behavioral or academic information to teachers and support staff.

    + Engage with students throughout the day, including recess, lunch, transitions, and community-based learning experiences.

    + Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student information and classroom activities.

    + Carry out behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of teachers, BCBAs, psychologists, and other specialists.

    + Assist with therapeutic programs designed by PT, OT, SLP, or behavioral professionals.

    + Support independence through self-care routines such as toileting, hygiene, dressing, and feeding when needed.

    + Help keep the classroom running smoothly by preparing materials, organizing supplies, creating stimuli, making copies, and assisting with basic clerical tasks.

    What You’ll Bring

    + Commitment to professional standards and completion of required competency programs

    + Current CPR, TB screening, and health certificate if applicable

    + Ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Successful completion of new-hire and site-specific training

    + Understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines

    + Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
