We are seeking an experienced Procurement Director to lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities for our Land and Power team, with a strong emphasis on substation infrastructure, EPC projects, and behind-the-meter power generation. This role will ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement of goods and services critical to our power delivery and land development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement Leadership:

+ Develop and execute procurement strategies for substation equipment, transmission infrastructure, EPC contracts, and distributed energy resources (DER) behind the meter.

+ Drive supplier negotiations to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.

+ Vendor & Contract Management:

+ Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers specializing in substation systems, EPC services, and on-site generation technologies (solar, battery storage, CHP).

+ Oversee contract drafting, compliance, and risk mitigation for high-value agreements.

+ Cross-Functional Collaboration:

+ Partner with engineering, project management, and land acquisition teams to align procurement plans with project timelines.

+ Support budgeting and forecasting for procurement spend.

Compliance & Risk Management:

+ Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and company policies.

+ Monitor market trends and supply chain risks in the energy sector.

+ Performance Optimization:

+ Implement KPIs for supplier performance and procurement efficiency.

+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

+ 10+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in energy infrastructure, EPC projects, or substation projects.

+ Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.

+ Strong knowledge of power systems, substations, EPC delivery models, and behind-the0beter generation technologies.

+ Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in the energy sector.

+ Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Skills:

+ Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.

+ Understanding of renewable energy projects, distribution generation, and grid integration.

+ Ability to manage complex, multi-million-dollar procurement portfolios.
