Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Architect / Technical Lead to oversee and optimize our custom .NET applications. These applications were not originally built on scalable architecture, so this role is critical in guiding the technical team to improve existing systems, challenge requirements, and ensure long-term sustainability. The ideal candidate will balance hands-on coding with architectural leadership and functional analysis, acting as a bridge between business needs and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

-Review and enhance existing .NET application architecture for scalability and performance.

-Challenge technical and business requirements to ensure feasibility and efficiency.

-Vet incoming requests and determine whether to optimize or rebuild from scratch.

-Develop detailed plans and business cases for major architectural changes, including ROI and value proposition.

-Work directly with business users to validate requirements.

-Ensure clarity and alignment between user needs and technical implementation.

-Prevent unnecessary development by questioning unclear or redundant requests.

-Recommend scalable architecture patterns and modernization strategies.

-Some Hands-On Development

-Implement features while maintaining architectural integrity.

-Allocate 50% of time to architecture design and review.

Define standards, patterns, and best practices for application development.

-Act as a mini-PO (~20% of time) to prioritize work and manage stakeholder expectations.

Balance technical constraints with business priorities.
