Description:
To provide physical therapy services to outpatient rehabilitation in compliance with policies and procedures established by the Medical Center and/or the Rehabilitation Services Department.
Details:
Essential Functions:
+ Meets Health System's Guiding Behaviors and Caring Standards including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations.
+ Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric as applicable).
+ Revenue Management Ensure the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
+ Provides direct and indirect supervision of PTA, PT aides and volunteers.
+ Performs initial evaluation, develops and implements treatment plan based upon individual needs of each patient.
+ Completes required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
+ Provides quality patient care in conjunction with educational training of the patient, family members and other supportive personnel.
Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience:
+ Licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist.
+ B.S. degree or higher in Physical Therapy.
+ American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required.
+ One year as a registered physical therapist in an acute care facility and program development preferred.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Interpersonal communication skills in a team or interdisciplinary work situation.
+ Knowledge of personal computers
