Our client, a leader in the automotive and powertrain development industry, is seeking a dedicated Development Engineer to join their innovative team. As a Development Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting the design, testing, and validation of powertrain systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for advancing automotive technology, which will align successfully within the organization.

**Location:** Santa Clarita, California
**Pay Range:** $43/hr - $57/h
What's the Job?
+ Create development plans for concepts and component development throughout the full product life cycle from concept to production.
+ Execute testing and validation procedures to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize powertrain performance and reliability.
+ Analyze test data, prepare reports, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and innovation.
What's Needed?
+ B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with emphasis on internal combustion engines or electrified powertrains.
+ Minimum of 5 years experience in powertrain development and testing, including test planning, procedure writing, data acquisition, and analysis.
+ Experience with powertrain or chassis dynamometer testing, data logging hardware and software, and test instrumentation is a plus.
+ Proven ability to communicate technical information effectively both verbally and in written form to diverse audiences.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.
