WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Join Nike’s Kids APLA Planning team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager for Kids Apparel Business Planning. In this role, you will oversee assortment planning Kids Sportswear Apparel across Asia Pacific and Latin America, supporting key business initiatives through consumer demand and supply management. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including Merchandising, Finance, and Inventory Planning. You will also work closely with the team across Territory and Global.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re seeking a teammate with a proven track record in assortment planning, merchandise planning, or equivalent experience to drive APLA Kids Sportswear Apparel. You will bring strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to influence effectively across teams. In this role, you will be an objective partner to merchandising, driving fact-based decisions and leveraging market insights to inform demand and inventory forecasts. The ideal candidate will build hypotheses and data-driven analysis, translating insights into action through problem-solving and critical thinking skills. You have a deep understanding of consumer, marketplace, product, and inventory planning, with actions grounded in qualitative research, data, and insights to support your view.
+ 6+ years’ experience in business planning, assortment planning, merchandise planning or equivalent experience
+ Leverage statistical forecasting, data science and new ways of working to develop plans and drive better decisions pre and in-season
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence others grounded in data, with strong oral and written communication skills
+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, high proficiency in Excel (creating spreadsheets, advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.). Experience with planning systems (SAP, o9, Workbench) preferred
+ Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors, and retail trends; knowledge of youth apparel market preferred
+ Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will drive alignment on seasonal assortment plans for Nike Kids Sportswear Apparel in APLA, using your expertise in consumer behavior, market trends, and marketing activities. Your daily responsibilities will include:
+ Leveraging analytics, technology, and cross-functional input to develop long-range product-based sales and inventory forecasts for merchandising, finance, and marketing
+ Develop strategies to meet financial goals and own open to buy bottom’s up forecasts to inform manufacturing decisions through to in season optimization
+ Providing detailed seasonal analysis based on actual sales results to inform future financial planning
+ Creating and managing monthly stock and sales plans for key products, providing inventory outlooks to guide buying decisions
+ Collaborating closely with our Kids Business Planner to identify risks and opportunities that may impact long-term planning
+ Partnering with Merchandising to design assortments that best serve our young consumers
+ Fostering a continuous improvement mindset to optimize end-to-end processes and enhance operational efficiency
+ Participating in a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance, supporting and fostering an open and inclusive environment that embraces diversity, encourages accountability, and drives results
