Job Title: Facilities Technician** **Job Description
The Facilities Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of work, including preventative maintenance and assistance in the repair of building and grounds in assigned areas. This role demands a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers and adaptability to customer needs.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain a positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
+ Repair various fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, minor appliances, and office equipment.
+ Inspect assigned areas routinely and perform maintenance to keep facilities in functioning and serviceable condition.
+ Complete daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedures.
+ Report any major maintenance needs and recommend corrective action as appropriate.
+ Demonstrate efficient and safe use of equipment and tools.
+ Adhere to component and departmental training commitments for professional growth and competence.
Essential Skills
+ 6+ months of building maintenance experience within apartment complexes or hotels.
+ Experience in plumbing and carpentry.
+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs on a daily basis.
+ Communication skills, including written, verbal, and email.
+ Customer service/customer-facing experience in previous roles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in maintenance repair, carpentry, building maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, repair, facilities maintenance, painting, lighting, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Work Environment
This position is based in a hotel setting in San Francisco, CA. The work schedule requires coverage from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week, with specific shifts from Friday to Tuesday (9:30 AM to 6:00 PM) and Wednesday to Sunday (11:00 AM to 8:30 PM). Shifts may change based on the needs of the hotel. The role does not require entering occupied hotel rooms.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
