    Job Title: Welder** **Job Description

     

    Join our team as a Welder, where you will play a crucial role in assembling and welding parts using various techniques. You will ensure the quality of your work and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

    Responsibilities

    + Place piece parts on assemblies in fixtures, on tables, or devices to perform the welding process.

    + Utilize MIG welding techniques and might use TIG or stick welding for steel assemblies.

    + Operate cutting torches as necessary.

    + Monitor and ensure the quality of equipment parts received in the assigned work area.

    + Discontinue work processes and notify supervision of any defects in quality.

    + Record and report work order information and production times as required.

    + Keep the working area clean and orderly at all times.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in MIG welding with at least 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Capability to lift up to 75 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with TIG welding is an advantage.

    + Familiarity with blueprint reading, grinding, and fabrication.

    Work Environment

    This position is part of a clean and organized welding and fabrication team. Work shifts are Monday to Friday, 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with an early start at 5:00 AM if required, and Monday to Thursday, 2nd shift from 3:15 PM to 1:45 AM. You will be welding throughout the shift and must wear pants and steel-toed shoes. Personal protective equipment such as a weld mask (usually personal) and safety glasses when not in the weld hood are required.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GRIMES, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00/hr.
