Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to provide a high-quality patient experience. You will be responsible for welcoming patients and ensuring a safe environment, maintaining office and exam room cleanliness, and ensuring appropriate supplies and equipment are available for patient care in adherence to infection control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

+ Perform and document patient intake vitals, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate, and notify the clinician of any abnormal findings.

+ Interview patients based on age appropriateness and/or specialty needs, accurately documenting and updating medical records to include chief complaint, current medications, allergies, and personal and family medical histories.

+ Obtain necessary medical records, consultation notes, and diagnostic results for clinician review.

+ Prepare patients for clinician examination, ensuring clinician orders are performed and accurately documented.

+ Assist clinicians with age-appropriate vision, hearing screenings, electrocardiograms, suture removal, ear lavages, urine cauterization, ear piercing, wound care, specialty procedures, and emergency responses under proper supervision.

Essential Skills

+ Medical knowledge

+ Phlebotomy skills

+ Strong customer service skills

+ Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in medical assisting

+ Ability to perform various medical procedures under clinician supervision

Work Environment

This position operates within a clinic environment. The working hours are Monday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Tuesday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, and every other Saturday from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Clearwater, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $43000.00/yr.
