Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and enhancing the operational reliability of manufacturing equipment. The role involves leading root cause analysis for equipment failures and collaborating with the maintenance team to optimize equipment efficiency and minimize downtime. The engineer will also drive the implementation of solutions and corrective actions while working closely with department members to identify and promote continuous improvement and adherence to productivity goals.
Responsibilities
+ Lead root cause analysis of equipment failures and drive implementation of corrective actions.
+ Originate, develop, and facilitate analysis methods to determine the reliability of components and equipment.
+ Monitor the execution and effectiveness of preventive maintenance programs, identify deficiencies, and implement necessary corrective actions.
+ Provide leadership and technical support to foster a proactive maintenance service department.
+ Design, develop, and implement equipment changes to enhance reliability, productivity, efficiency, and product quality yield.
+ Establish reliability and work planning metrics/KPIs to monitor performance and improvement.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
+ 5+ years of experience in Engineering or a similar technical field.
+ Experience in metal manufacturing processes such as forging, stamping, and CNC.
+ Familiarity with PFMEA, Pareto analysis, 5Y, SPC, CMS, and standardized work instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with robotics is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment is a standard manufacturing setting, consisting of four areas: forge, rotary, machining, and assembly. The facility is temperature controlled. The position operates on the first shift, with no travel required, and engineers are on call 24/7. The team includes two Manufacturing Engineers. This is a Contract position based out of Albion, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr.
