Description

We are looking for a skilled Contracts Corporate Paralegal to join our team in Santa Monica, California (hybrid schedule). This position involves providing legal expertise in media and entertainment, with a focus on contracts and music licensing. As a contract opportunity, this role offers the potential for long-term collaboration based on performance and fit.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards.

• Manage rights clearances, including those related to music and other content.

• Assist in handling vendor agreements and general transactions.

• Provide guidance on intellectual property clauses and indemnification terms.

• Utilize proprietary software and shared drives to manage legal documentation.

• Maintain clear and organized communication with stakeholders and team members.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in media and entertainment.

• Strong knowledge of contracts, licensing agreements, and corporate governance.

• Familiarity with rights clearances processes, particularly in music and content.

• Proficiency in legal software and document management systems.

• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining effective communication.
