Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team in New York, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in organizing and processing tax-related documents while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities:

• Gather and organize tax documents including Form 1099s, W2s, and other relevant financial records.

• Prepare and review tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and documentation.

• Work with CCH ProSystem software to process and manage tax-related tasks.

• Collaborate with clients and team members to address inquiries and resolve tax-related issues.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold high standards when handling sensitive financial information.

• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of tax filings.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance.

• Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement in tax preparation.

• Provide support during audits or reviews as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in tax preparation and document organization.

• Proficiency with Form 1099s, W2s, and other tax-related forms.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis.

• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem or similar tax preparation software.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

• Knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
