    Unity House of Troy – Finance Department

     

    Position may be eligible for a $750 sign-on bonus

     

    Unity House of Troy is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an administrative professional who enjoys working with numbers and supporting a mission-driven organization that values inclusion and collaboration.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Process daily accounts payable transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, payment transactions, journal entries, and general ledger entries

    + Maintain accurate and organized files and documentation

    + Prepare and complete weekly check runs

    + Review documents for proper approval; return unapproved items for authorization and follow up as needed

    + Collect and verify documentation to ensure all required approvals are obtained prior to payment

    + Audit and process company credit card statements and employee expense reports

    + Reconcile vendor statements and general ledger expense accounts

    + Respond to vendor and employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner

    + Set up and manage new vendor accounts

    + Promote an environment of inclusion, respect, and belonging

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED required; college degree in a related field preferred

    + Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience required

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required

    + Experience with computerized accounting systems required

    + Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation required
