The Anesthesia Technician performs a variety of technicaland supportive patient care tasks to assist attending anesthesiologists,residents and nurse anesthetists in performing anesthetic procedures forpatients ranging from infancy to geriatrics. Additionally, performs routine anddelegated duties according to departmental policies.

Minimum Requirements:

+ High School diploma or equivalent required

+ Certified anesthesia technician (Cer.A.T.) preferred and maybe required per state/contract

+ Medical or Science-based secondary education preferred

+ Graduate of an accredited program i.e. EMT, Paramedic, RT,or Anesthesia Technology (AT) program preferred

+ ACLS, EMT, Paramedic, RT, Medical, or prior HCA licensingpreferred

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
