Special Education Teacher – Phoenix, AZ
Pay Rate: $50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality educational services to preschool students with developmental needs. This role focuses on supporting students ages 3–5 in a structured, nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with general education staff and participate in planning and implementing individualized student programs, including specialized instruction and consultation.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Deliver engaging and effective instruction tailored to students’ individual education plans (IEPs).
+ Provide tutorial assistance and collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive practices.
+ Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as professional standards of practice.
+ Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment for students and families.
Caseload Details:
+ Developmental Preschool setting
+ Approximately 12 students per 3-hour session (AM and PM classes)
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations
+ Special Education certification (preferred)
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB clearance and health certificate per state requirements
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
