In addition, DPHHS is the largest state agency with a wide range of advancement opportunities whether you are joining the workforce or have several years of experience. *Qualifications for this Career Opportunity:*** Knowledgeof relevant equipment and procedures utilized to ensure safety and security in a mental health facility. * Knowledge of current techniques in working with and treating the mentally ill. * Knowledge of interviewing and information gathering techniques. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent time management and organizational skills. * Ability to make observations to report and record them accurately. * Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. * Ability to monitor and analyze information, events, or the environment to assess and resolve a variety of situations and circumstances. * Ability to work cooperatively and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, other agencies, and the public. * Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete the essential functions including using word processing, e-mail, and computer programs relevant to their duties.
