**Clean Harbors** located in **Baltimore, MD** is seeking a **Laboratory Technician** to join their team. The **Laboratory Technician** will be responsible for sample preparation, the analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties. This is a traditional, white lab coat position that offers no travel.

**Shift:** Monday-Friday: Day shift- 3:00pm-11:00pm; OT and Saturdays as needed

+ Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;

+ Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health and Safety and Compliance protocols;

+ Performs analysis of samples following prescribed procedures, with the ability to solve minor problems;

+ Calibrates and utilizes instrumentation;

+ Maintenance of equipment suggests solutions to problems;

+ Completes all paperwork associated with the analyses in a neat and timely fashion;

+ Ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines;

+ Responsibility for supply management in their area of responsibility, including proper housekeeping and best management practices;

+ Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.

Key Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required+ 1 year of specialized training required;

+ Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or physical science is preferred;

+ Solid understanding of math, chemistry and chemical testing preferred;

+ Experience in a laboratory preferred;

+ Ability to work in a team environment.
