Commercial Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our Property Management team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation, inspection, and maintenance of commercial building systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and comfortable working across a variety of building systems in an active portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

+ Complete daily work orders including minor plumbing, carpentry, light electrical repairs, and lighting maintenance

+ Perform routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire, pump, and HVAC systems

+ Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and longevity

+ Maintain accurate operating logs and document deficiencies, repairs, and unusual conditions

+ Assist with developing and improving preventative maintenance procedures

+ Maintain common areas and general grounds upkeep

+ Respond to maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner

+ Perform other general maintenance duties as needed

Qualifications & Experience

+ 3–5 years of experience in general building maintenance; commercial real estate experience preferred

+ Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment

+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

+ Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and attention to detail

+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

+ Valid driver’s license required; company service van provided

+ Basic hand tools required; specialty tools supplied by Friedman
