Salary range: $27.60 to $36.85 per hour/$1.00 per hour shift differential for second shift

Position Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and facility systems. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.
The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical aptitude, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule
+ Maintain production equipment in safe, reliable operating condition
+ Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
+ Support Production and Quality teams as needed
+ Follow all safety procedures including Lockout and Tagout
+ Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO 14001 requirements
+ Set up, inspect, test, and adjust machinery and equipment
+ Identify abnormal equipment operation and diagnose mechanical issues
+ Disassemble, repair, and replace defective machine components
+ Clean and lubricate bearings, gears, shafts, and moving parts
+ Assist with facility maintenance and repairs
+ Document work completed through work orders and daily reports
+ Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED plus 1+ year of industrial maintenance experienceor 4 years of direct industrial mechanical maintenance experience
+ Working knowledge of general maintenance, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems
+ Welding experience including MIG and TIG preferred
+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment
+ Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
+ Ability to read work orders, equipment manuals, and complete reports
Preferred Qualifications
+ Technical, vocational, or associate degree in maintenance or industrial technology
+ Experience in manufacturing or food production environments
+ Forklift, scissor lift, or genie lift experience
