    Job Title: Field Service Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to perform maintenance and setup work, troubleshoot and repair machinery, and engage in preventative scheduled maintenance. This role involves installing, commissioning, and setting up products in customer facilities, as well as diagnosing problems, replacing defective parts, and reassembling machines. You will be responsible for providing training to customers.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform maintenance and setup work on machinery.

    + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical (hydraulic/pneumatic) and electronic machinery.

    + Conduct machine audits, repairs, and preventative scheduled maintenance.

    + Install, commission, and set up products in customer facilities.

    + Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and reassemble machines.

    + Identify and articulate root cause problem statements during troubleshooting.

    + Changeover and set up change parts running clearance and timing.

    + Provide training to customers and coworkers.

    + Engage in equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to support internal operations.

    + Work onsite at the company facility when not traveling.

    Essential Skills

    + 4 plus years of mechanical/electrical or field service experience.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Experience working with customers.

    + Previous programming experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Minimum two-year technical school training in a related field.

    + Intermediate level of experience with AUTO CAD Mechanical and Electrical.

    + Manufacturing experience in the food and beverage industry.

    Work Environment

    This position requires traveling up to 100% of the time, including some weekends and nights, primarily within the U.S. and occasionally in Canada. When not traveling, you will work at a large, clean manufacturing facility with automated equipment. The role involves long workdays, typically around 12 hours, with approximately 60 hours per week. All travel-related expenses, including car rentals, flights, and per diem, are covered, and overtime is eligible.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eastlake, OH.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00/hr.
