    Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our team. This position offers opportunities in both the 1st shift, from 6 am to 3:30 pm or 4:30 pm during the week, and the 3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 7 am, Sunday through Thursday. The role involves setting up and operating CNC Milling machines, handling multiple setups each day, and working with extremely tight tolerances. A proven history of low scrap rates is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate CNC Milling machines.

    + Operate and set up multiple machines with multiple setups daily.

    + Work with extremely tight tolerances.

    + Maintain low scrap rates.

    + Troubleshoot and operate machinery in secondary departments including mills, honing, and lapping machines.

    + Assemble parts as needed and make machine adjustments to maintain print specifications.

    + Study and determine part tolerances and measurement methods for each job.

    + Deburr parts when necessary.

    + Run more than one machine while maintaining run times and quality.

    + Use micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and visual checks for part inspection.

    + Determine when cutters need replacement or resharpening.

    + Assist in determining tooling and fixturing needs.

    + Interpret blueprints and perform machine programming.

    + Create inspection sheets and update inventory for tools and fixturing.

    Essential Skills

    + 5 years of CNC machining experience.

    + 2+ years of Milling setup experience.

    + 5+ years of blueprint reading.

    + 2+ years of experience in a job shop environment.

    + Proficiency in using measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.

    + Troubleshooting skills and experience with Mastercam.

    + Experience with CNC programming.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and operate machinery in secondary departments.

    + Ability to assemble parts and make machine adjustments as required.

    + Experience in using micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators for part inspection.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beloit, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
