    Kind of Work

     

    Skilled work slaughtering, processing and packaging livestock and poultry at the Northeast Regional Corrections Center (NERCC). Duties include coordinating and directing the activities of incarcerated persons and maintaining incarcerated persons' records. This position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with varying hours Monday - Saturday.

     

    Arrowhead Regional Corrections does not participate in E-Verify. All employees must be continuously authorized to work in the United States, for Arrowhead Regional Corrections, on a full-time basis. Arrowhead Regional Corrections does not provide sponsorship for employment visas.

    An employee in this class performs skilled slaughtering, processing and packaging livestock and poultry. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Pass/Fail):

    High school diploma or its equivalent.

     

    One (1) year full-time paid verifiable experience processing livestock and/or poultry; OR an equivalent combination of experience and/or formal education in meat processing.
