Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Desktop Support Technician to support a large healthcare organization during a short-term project focused on reimaging systems and migrating everything into the cloud. This role involves reimaging devices onto new domains and requires advanced technical expertise in desktop support, imaging, and deployment within healthcare IT environments. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with strong troubleshooting skills and experience in complex workstation configurations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform imaging and re-imaging of Windows-based laptops and desktops using SCCM, MDT, or similar deployment platforms.
+ Reimage devices onto new domains and ensure smooth migration to cloud-based environments.
+ Configure and deploy workstations in compliance with organizational standards and security policies.
+ Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
+ Provide support for Windows 10/11, Office 365, and Citrix environments.
+ Manage Active Directory tasks including user account creation, group policy updates, and permissions management.
+ Support printers, handheld scanners, and other peripheral devices.
+ Assist with asset management and inventory tracking during migration.
+ Provide mobile device support using MDM solutions such as TinyMDM and IBM MaaS360.
+ Deliver deskside and remote support for end-users to minimize downtime during transition.
+ Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
+ 5–8 years of experience in PC imaging and deployment using SCCM, MDT, or similar tools.
+ Strong expertise in workstation configuration, troubleshooting, and domain migrations.
+ Hands-on experience in healthcare IT environments with knowledge of compliance and security standards.
+ Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Office 365, Active Directory, and Citrix.
+ Familiarity with mobile device management platforms (TinyMDM, IBM MaaS360).
+ Excellent communication and customer service skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Hartford, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
