    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for laying out and welding structural steel in order to build metal structures.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Welds and cuts black carbon and galvanized steel, interprets blueprints

    + Ability to operate hand tools, grinders, etc

    + Ability to operate and/or willingness to learn operation of basic shop machinery

    + Ensure product is manufactured according to print

    + Must keep area neat and clean in accordance with 6S leadership and standards/goals

    + Adheres and comply with all company safety requirements

    ATTRIBUTES

    + Read and understand schematics and blueprints

    + Ability to read basic blueprints and weld symbols

    + Ability to read a tape measure

    + Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide (Lbs., Ft. Inch.)

    + Operating Vehicles, Mechanical Devices or Equipment

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred

    + Previous professional welding experience

    + Fundamental understanding of various weld processes and welding machinery

    + Ability to read basic blueprints and weld symbols

    + Ability to comfortably lift 50 pounds repeatedly and overhead
