    The Sr. Financial Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the various billing aspects handled by UHI, including resolving patient billing inquiries, preparation of billing statements and packages, completion of tasks in the billing work queues (WQs), reconciliation, preparation of itemized statements, serve as a liaison for business office and front end inquires and patient concerns, amongst other responsibilities.

    Areas of Responsibilities:

    Revenue Cycle Duties:

    + Research and provide follow up to daily international billing inquiries

    + Review international patient accounts and refund requests

    + Prepare itemized statements to patients

    + Preparation of billing statements and claim packages for patients from the Middle East Embassies, and International Kids Fund.

    + Preparation of single bills for international patients

    + Complete accounts within the assigned UHI Billing WQs. Assist in the transfers to UHI Guarantors for patients with Letters of Guarantee (LOG) or UHI Bundled Agreements, including ensuring proper transfer of funds received and corresponding visits.

    + Support the Finance Manager and Director as needed

    + Respond to patient inquires or concerns via phone or email

    + Assist with other billing duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications (Essential Requirements):

    + Minimum three (3) years’ experience in areas with emphasis in financial analysis or business setting.

    + Strong understanding of the medical services revenue cycle

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

    + Bilingual in English and Spanish other languages a plus

    + Must be able to function independently, with minimal supervision

    + Any appropriate combination of education, certifications and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
