Job Description

One of Insight Global's largest Telecom customers is looking for a System Admin. This resource will be responsible for administering and maintaining Linux-based systems within a large-scale enterprise network environment. Duties include configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting servers and applications to ensure high availability, security, and performance. Implements automation for system provisioning and patch management, manages user access and security protocols, and supports network integration with Layer 2/Layer 3 services. There will also be collaboration with engineering teams to define processes, validate system designs, and ensure compliance with operational standards. The ideal candidate has strong scripting skills and familiarity with virtualization and container technologies, as well as experience in system hardening and performance optimization.

Skills and Requirements

-Linux System Administration Expertise:

Proficient in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu) including performance optimization.

-Strong experience with Bash and/or Python scripting for automating system tasks, patching, and configuration management.

-Networking Fundamentals, ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues and integrate systems with Layer 2/Layer 3 network services.

-Knowledge of system hardening, access control, encryption, and security protocols.

-Hands-on experience with monitoring tools and log analysis; ability to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and system failures quickly.
