    WORK SCHEDULE

    + 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift - 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (including every other weekend)

    + 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Evening shift - 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (including every other weekend)

    + 90% FTE (36 hours per week), Night shift

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

    + 4MB is the first innovate in-patient unit in the UW Medicine system, at the forefront of virtual care by integrating the latest technologies, allowing us to explore new virtual care initiatives.

    + 20-bed in-patient acute care unit with telemetry monitoring capability, specializing in, but not limited to, planned spine surgery patients and other planned surgical cases.

    + Staff in this unit should be flexible and adaptable to all new technologies, and assigned to brand new unit (4MB).

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse

    + Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating

    + Maintain a safe environment of care

    + Patient transportation

    + Prepare patients for surgery

    + Perform non-invasive lab procedures

    + Transport equipment and supplies

    + Assist with treatments

    + Perform various clerical tasks

    + Take vital signs

    REQUIREMENTS

    + Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)

    + High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care in an acute care health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience.

    + Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card.

     

    Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

    Pay Range Minimum:

    $58,788.00 annual

    Pay Range Maximum:

    $84,168.00 annual

    Other Compensation:

    $5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible new part-time and full-time employees joining UW Medicine

    Evening: $1.50/hour

    Night: $2.25/hour

    Weekend: $1.50/hour
