YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Director of Mergers & Acquisitions are to:
As an Associate Director of Mergers & Acquisitions M&A you will be part of the Treasury & M&A Enabling Function and play a pivotal role in managing and leading M&A projects, including acquisitions, divestments, and joint venture across all three divisions. Your responsibilities will encompass project and stakeholder management, as well as driving transaction execution to ensure the successful completion of value-creating M&A transactions for Bayer. In this role, you will lead complex cross-functional project organizations, including divisional and Enabling Functions and external advisors. You will play a crucial role in the deal negotiations with deal partners and present strategic assessments and recommendations to senior management. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the success of our M&A activities and contributing to Bayer's strategic objectives.
+ Coordinate due diligence processes, collaborating with internal teams and external advisors;
+ Lead financial modeling and valuation efforts for potential acquisitions;
+ Develop and deliver presentations and materials for senior management and stakeholders;
+ Manage the negotiation of contracts and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
+ Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in M&A.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ You hold a university degree of equivalent qualification;
+ You have exceptional analytical skills and a solid understanding of finance & accounting topics;
+ You have a deep understanding of the Crop Science business and its organization;
+ Strong leadership and project management capabilities;
+ Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ MBA is a strong plus;
+ You bring several years of experience in either M&A or a business function with finance, strategy and project management elements, ideally within the Crop Science division.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $161,284 to $241,926. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
