    Work shift (days/times) – Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

     

    Reason for request – Support R&D sample testing for pipeline projects

    Job Description:

    • Plan and execute assigned laboratory tasks utilizing standard procedures and technical understanding of various techniques to complete assigned tasks.

    • Independently generate precise, reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner. Document the experimentation per the regulatory requirements.

    • Demonstrate experimental precision and strong data interpretation skills and should possess understanding of core discipline.

    • Develop protocols for more complex tests or experiments performed with less defined assays and parameters.

    • Ensures safety and GxP requirements are met when performing tasks.

    • Ensures timely and GxP compliant delivery of high-quality precise data.

    • Apply basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and instrument related systems.

    • Presents findings of defined experiments to larger audiences.

    Top 5 skills/requirements this person is required

    a. Required Skill 1: Solid use of instruments including HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, MS,ICP, etc.

    b. Required Skill 2: Lab research experience (academic and / or industry) with proven-track record of presentations/publications

    c. Required Skill 3: some familiarity of GMP and GLP and/or understanding of working in regulated environment

    d. Required Skill 4: Able to present findings to larger groups. Strong communication skills.

    e. Required Skill 5: Strong background in chemistry fundamentals.

    Education, and/or certification is required

    + BS in Chemistry with 5 years of lab experience or Master’s Degree with 2 years of lab experience.

    Nice to have (but not required) regarding skills,

    + Experienced with and strong working knowledge of above instruments, with demonstrated strong lab skills.

    + Excellent documentation skills, with GMP/ GLP experience. May have publications, or experience in presentation of findings to scientific organizations. (preferred but not required)

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • BS/BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology or related field with minimum 5 yrs lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred) or master’s degree with minimum 2 yrs lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred).

    • Experienced use of analytical instruments including HPLC, GC, LC/MS, and chromatography data systems (i.e., Empower, Openlab, Chromeleon).

    • Strong documentation skills, familiarity of GMP, GLP. Able to present experimental findings to larger groups. Strong communication skills.
