    Overview

     

    Prime Healthcare is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Urologist to join the medical staff at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to build a comprehensive urology practice within a well-established community hospital that serves a diverse and growing patient population in Northern New Jersey.

     

    The selected physician will provide high-quality urologic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings while working collaboratively within Prime Healthcare’s mission-driven, patient-centered environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Prior experience in a hospital-based or community urology practice

    + Interest in growing and developing urology services within the hospital

    + Subspecialty interests welcomed but not required

    Responsibilities

    + Diagnose and manage a broad range of urologic conditions, including:

    + Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

    + Nephrolithiasis (kidney stones)

    + Urinary tract disorders

    + Urologic malignancies

    + Male reproductive and sexual health conditions

    + + Perform urologic procedures and surgeries consistent with training, experience, and granted privileges

    + Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient follow-up care

    + Participate in shared call coverage per department policy

    + Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, hospitalists, emergency medicine, oncology, and ancillary services

    + Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation within the electronic medical record

    + Adhere to Prime Healthcare policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements

    + Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and patient safety programs

    Qualifications

    + MD or DO from an accredited medical school

    + Completion of an ACGME-accredited Urology Residency

    + Board Eligible or Board Certified in Urology (American Board of Urology)

    + Eligibility for New Jersey medical licensure

    + Eligibility for DEA registration and hospital credentialing

    + Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

    + Commitment to evidence-based medicine, ethical practice, and patient-centered care
