    We are hiring head lifeguards for pools managed by SELA Aquatics in Lafayette. Options include City Club at River Ranch and Oakbourne Country Club. Indicate your placement preference in your application.

    Classification:

    SUMMER SEASONAL, generally 30-40 hours per week

    Job Duties:

    + Supervise seasonal lifeguards on shift

    + Perform lifeguard duties within the lifeguard rotation

    + Perform daily safety inspection of assigned area and report issues to supervisor

    + Prevent accidents and emergencies in the aquatics facility

    + Respond as trained in the event of an emergency

    + Enforce pool rules effectively, courteously, and consistently

    + Interact professionally and respectfully with guests

    + Participate in manager meetings and in-service trainings

    + Maintain a clean and hazard-free pool and deck area

    + Test water chemistry and perform cleaning tasks as trained

    Qualifications:

    + Must be certified as an American Red Cross lifeguard

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + At least 1 season of experience working as a lifeguard
